Music Monday (or #MusicMonday) is a weekly celebration that happens on Twitter. It celebrates music, artists and, above all, it allows Twitter’s users to discover new music and old music. At Bit Rebels we are starting a weekly compilation of music that we will be collecting from the Internet. Usually collecting music from the Internet means you are doing something illegal but this is not the case: we want to introduce you, if you don’t know it already, to something called Creative Commons Music (or #ccmusic on Twitter). Creative Commons Music is music you can download, share, redistribute for free with anyone you want and its perfectly legal to do it. “Download music for free? No legal hassles? What’s the catch?” you ask. No catch and more:Just because its free it doesn’t mean it isn’t good. Did you know that RadioHead and Nine Inch Nails gave their latest works for free? As you will see by our first compilation there is great music out there just waiting to be discovered.
I was involved in a project of love in June09 and actually up to nine months earlier. My parents were having their 50th wedding anniversary this past July4th. I wanted to do really something special for them. All my siblings were talented musically, so it was only fitting to have the offspring perform something. I didn’t want to do anything live, we did that for the 45th.I wanted something to involve the extended family,(grandkids, spouses, great grandkids). So we composed a songThe link below is a small clip of a partial verse and full chorus. The video is on YouTube.
